Harry "Pop" Pollock

AGE: 77 • Hopewell Twp.

Harry "Pop" Pollock, 77, of Hopewell Twp. died on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at his home following a brief illness. Born in Millville to the late Robert M. Pollock, Sr. and Edna Silvers Pollock, he was the husband of Helen "Joyce" Rayhart Pollock. He had lived in Hopewell Twp. for the past 45 years and prior to that had resided in Upper Deerfield Twp. Harry was a veteran and served his country in the United States Navy. Prior to his retirement he had been employed as a forman at Owens-Illinois Glass Company in Bridgeton for over 34 years, then at Wheaton Glass Company in Millville for over 14 years. He had also worked as a dealer and in security at several casinos in Atlantic City. He was a lifetime member of the Fifth Ward Club in Bridgeton, was involved with children's sports programs and enjoyed fishing, playing cards and watching the Philadelphia Phillies. Besides his wife, "Joyce", he is survived by his five children, Kim Corrigan of Hopewell Twp., Larry Pollock, Sr. and his wife Carrie of Millville, Timothy Pollock, Sr. and his wife Evelyn of Hopewell Twp., Dan Pollock, Sr. and his wife Angie of Hopewell Twp. and Kathleen Gandy and her husband Harry of Hopewell Twp.; three sisters, Mary France of Commercial Twp., Harriet Leach of FL, Christina Manyolis of AL, 24 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his son, Harry Pollock, a sister, Loretta Hoe and three brothers, Robert Pollock, Jr., Walter Pollock and Edward Pollock.

Memorial services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Thursday, March 26th at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, because of Harry's love for children, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 381052.
