Jean Scapellato Obituary
Landisville - Jean Scapellato, age 94 of Landisville, passed away Friday, January 4, 2019. The daughter of Pietro and Angelina (D'Addrio) D'Amico was born and raised in Landisville where she remained a life-long resident. Jean graduated from Vineland High School, class of 1941. She later met and married her husband C. Charles Scapellato, and they where married for 67 years. Jean worked for various clothing companies as a seamstress for many years. Her greatest joy in life was being a mom, homemaker, and grandmother. She is survived by her son and his wife; Charles and Andrea Scapellato; grandsons and their wives, Michael A. and Kelly Scapellato; Charles A. and Mackenzie Scapellato, great grandchildren, Sean, Jack, Natalie, and Noah. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her husband, C. Charles Scapellato; her parents, Pietro and Angelina D'Amico; brothers, Frank; Daniel; Joseph; and Antony D'Amico, sisters, Mary Fragnito; Margaret Alzarano; Ann Marchesano; Emily Capabianco; and Rose Curcio. A Church visitation will be held on Tuesday January 8, 2019, from 9:45 to 10:45 am at Our Lady of The Blessed Sacrament - Church Of Our Lady Of Victories, 202 Northwest Boulevard, Landisville, NJ followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 am. Interment will follow mass in Our Lady of Victories Cemetery, Landisville. Jean was a beautiful,lovely woman.I bought my first car from her husband Charles in 1965 and later had the pleasure of working with both her husband and son.She had a beautiful family and I am sorry for their loss.
