Kristopher Herman Obituary
AGE: 43 • Formerly of Vineland
Kristopher Karl Herman, 43 of Ocean City, NJ, formerly of Vineland, NJ. Our beloved Kris left this life suddenly on Friday, September 11, 2015. Born on March 2, 1972 at Elmer Hospital, Elmer, NJ. Kris was first and foremost the proudest dad in the world to Noah Joseph Herman who was his life. He was also the beloved son of Ellsworth and Kathleen (Rice) Herman and much loved brother of Jill, Bruce and Kirk. Kris attended Sacred Heart Grade School in Vineland, NJ, St Augustine Prep and graduated from Vineland High School and attended Fairleigh Dickinson University. He worked for the family business, Action Auto Imports, where he was a partner. After his love for his son and family, his greatest love and passion was the beach and ocean. He was an avid surfer and could be found every morning at the beach and boardwalk with his dog Luke. He was a true friend and loving soul that never forgot you and always had a smile for you no matter how long since he saw you, he was there with a smile and a story.
Kris is survived by his beloved son, Noah Joseph Herman, parents, Ellsworth "Blackie" and Kathleen (Rice) Herman of Vineland. His sister, Jill (Herman) & brother in law, Robert LaBoy; brother, Bruce & sister in law, Renee; brother, Kirk & sister in law, Dawn. His nephew and nieces; Kirk Herman Jr, Karl Herman, Kyle Herman, Cassie Herman (Goddaughter) and Gabrielle LaBoy. His uncle William Rice of Arizona, cousins; Bill Herman, Kevin Herman, Zach Rice, Lyndsey Herman and Chuck Herman. Kris was predeceased by his adoring and loving aunt and Godmother, Anne Rice, Maternal grandparents, Frank & Marie (McDonald) Rice, paternal grandfather, Ellsworth W. Herman & Jean Herman, paternal grandmother, Frances Hauser & Gus Hauser.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 6:00pm to 9:00 pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Avenue, Vineland, NJ. A Mass will be said Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 11:00 am at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, Sacred Heart RC Church, 1010 E. Landis Ave., Vineland, NJ. A celebration of Kris's life and a paddle-out will be held in Ocean City, NJ at a further date. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: TD Bank (all branches) made payable to "THE NOAH HERMAN EDUCATIONAL FUND". My deepest sympathy and prayers are with the Herman family and to Noah. Kris was a great friend and neighbor to myself and our whole family in OC. Whether it was summer season or winter, Kris was always there to lend a hand, an ear to listen, or just to relax on the porch with and share stories. Kris gave us memories too beautiful to forget.
