Lisa Michelle Sherman, 43, of Newfield passed away on Monday, Sept. 5, 2011. Born in Camden, Lisa graduated from Vineland High School and from Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, as a registered nurse.
She worked as a registered charge nurse for the Vineland Developmental Center for 10 years and previously worked at the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home, Vineland, as an LPN.
Lisa was an avid animal lover and actively showed Akitas and Samoyeds in the American Kennel Club Shows. She enjoyed taking care of her parrots, horses, cows and bulls.
She is predeceased by her stepfather, Joseph J. Brennan Jr.
She is survived by her mother, Nadeshda "Nancy" Brennan of Newfield; one brother, William Sherman of Newfield; her father, Robert K. Sherman of Maryland; and three nephews, John, Mikey and Brian.
The Panikheda will be held on Sunday at noon at the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, 2211 W. Landis Ave., Vineland.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery. Family and friends will be received at the church on Monday morning from 9 to 10 a.m.
Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 1019 E. Landis Ave., Vineland. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church.
