Louis Mazzola Obituary

Louis T. Mazzola

Louis T. Mazzola, 89, transitioned into glory on June 16, 2021, after a brief illness. He was born in Landisville, New Jersey to Thomas and Elenore (Trout) Mazzola. He lived in Vineland for many years with his parents, brothers and sister.

At the age of 18, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He served for five years on the data survey ship, U.S.S. San Pablo. He sailed to the Madiera Islands, Scotland, England, Norway, Belgium, Iceland and more. He passed the offer to re-enlist as a First Class Petty Officer to attend Glassboro State College. He studied Education and went on to receive a Masters Degree In Special Education. He had told his children, if he stayed in the Navy, he would never have met their beautiful mother, Patricia and had his wonderful children and grandchildren.

Louie worked for the Vineland State School for thirty years. He was known and loved by co-workers and clients alike, visiting them all long after his retirement.

Louis and Pat were faithful members of Sacred Heart Church in Vineland, and after retiring, Sacred Heart Church in Edgewater, Florida. Louis enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cruising, golfing, fishing and riding around in his "Pope Mobile".

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Patricia (Marchalonis) Mazzola; his parents Thomas and Elenore; his brothers Tommy and Chickie Mazzola; his niece Sharon Farside Tepper; and his great-granddaughter Ryan Blake Bermudez.

He leaves behind his children, Patrice (Bolivar) Guadalupe; William (Juli) Mazzola; Kimberly Mazzola; and Lori T (Frank) Tanghare, his eight grandchildren: Jason, Christina, Hannah, Jessica, Sophia, Kaci, Dylan, Tyler, many great-grandchildren, sister Margie (Charlie) Farside, sisters-in-law Connie (Tommy) Mazzola and Edna (Chickie) Mazzola, nieces, nephews, cousins, bonus family, tons of friends and his grand puppy Boomer.

Donations should be made to your local Veteran's Home or the Wounded Warrior Project.

A quiet ceremony and celebration of life is being planned. Please contact any of his children for details.
