Mark D. Kutner, Esq.

AGE: 63 • Vineland

Mark D. Kutner, Esq., 63, of Vineland, NJ, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, February 3, 2016 following an extended illness. Mark was born and raised in Millville, where he was the salutatorian of Millville High School's class of 1970. Mark subsequently graduated with honors from Cornell University in 1974, after which he married the love of his life, Susan Nunberg of Vineland. Following their honeymoon, Mark and Susan moved to Cambridge, MA where Mark attended Harvard Law School, from which he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1977. Before retiring in 2014 after 37 years as an attorney specializing in elder law, estate planning and business transactions, he ran a successful law practice in Vineland. Most recently, Mark proudly served as the past president and board member of Alliance Cemetery Chevra Kadisha and chairman of an endowment supporting local Boy Scouts of America troops, as well as serving on the New Jersey State Elder Law Board. Mark also previously held many local leadership positions including board membership at the Jewish Federation of Cumberland County, ARC of Cumberland County, B'nai Brith, American Red Cross, and was a past president of the Beth Israel Congregation Men's Club.

Mark is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Susan Kutner (Nunberg) of Vineland, son Benjamin Kutner of Vineland, son and daughter-in-law Aaron and Elyssa Kutner of New York City, and mother Lois Kutner of Millville. He also survived by his brother and sister-in-law Dr. Brian and Dawn Kutner of Vineland, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Dr. N. Robert and Elizabeth Nunberg of Newton, MA, Max and Andrea Nunberg of Vineland, M. Jerry and Mindy Nunberg of New York City. Additionally, Mark is survived by nieces Molly Kutner of Towson, MD, Jillian Kutner of Vineland, Sarah Nunberg of Newton, MA, Caroline Nunberg of Newton, MA and nephew William Nunberg of New York City. He was predeceased by his father Al Kutner, father-in-law and mother-in-law William and Esther Nunberg, and brother-in-law Rabbi Samuel Nunberg.

A funeral service will be held today, February 4, 2016, at 1 pm, at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 E. Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, with friends being received an hour prior. Burial will follow at Alliance Cemetery in Norma, NJ.
