Barry Christiansen Obituary
Born on August 12, 1957, in Ionia, Michigan, Barry was the son of Thomas and Shirley (Smith) Christiansen. He graduated from Ionia High School with the Class of 1975 and went on to build a long and dedicated career with General Motors before retiring.
Barry's greatest joy in life was his family. He was a proud and devoted father and "Papa," known for his sense of humor, big heart, and the way he always showed up for the people he loved. He will be remembered for his easygoing nature, kindness, and the steady comfort he brought to those around him.
He is survived by his children Heidi (John) Mills, Kari (Casey) McCracken, Barry Chistiansen, Kaylee (Zach) Hessbrook, Tiffany (Kyle) Eisenberger, Tori (Logon) Everts, and Tommy Christiansen; grandchildren Gavin, Parker, Karlee, Claire, Briella, Blakelyn, Brogen, Addison, Mason, Trey, Brady, Kassidy, and Slade; brother Kim Christiansen; sisters Tonda Bennett and Khristie (Bruce) Cook; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Barry was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law Barry Bennett.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 12-5:00pm at the Hubbardston American Legion. Memorial contributions can be made in Barry's honor to Joes Market (8406 Main St. Palo, MI. 48870).
