Ronald Clock Obituary

Ronald Niels Clock
August 8, 1943 – June 29, 2025
Ronald Niels Clock of Sidney, Michigan, went to be with his Heavenly Father on June 30, 2025. Born on August 8, 1943, in Edmore, Michigan, Ron lived a full life devoted to faith and family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Carla (Speese) Clock; children Rex Clock (Brenda Yeakey), Ronda Clock Hobart (Tim), and Jason Clock (Margaret McCormick); grandchildren Adam Steele, Allison Steele, Colin Hobart, and Charlie Hobart; and great-grandchildren Hudson Steele, Henry Steele, and Harvey Steele. He is also survived by his sisters Jane Boyden of White Cloud and Mary Ane Krum of Belding, along with many beloved sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Ron dedicated 23 years of his career as a field manager at Ore Ida Foods and later found purpose working as a job coach for Montcalm ISD, among other roles. In retirement, he enjoyed traveling in his camper with Carla, creating adventures in Arizona and Florida, reconnecting with old friends and making many new ones along the way.
He was a proud member of the Old Iron Tractor Club, where he especially cherished participating in tractor drives and campouts-including a memorable drive across the Mackinac Bridge. Ron was also a faithful member of the McBride Church of Christ for nearly 50 years, serving as a deacon for many of those years.
A passionate outdoorsman, Ron loved deer hunting-especially with his grandson-and rarely missed a summer tractor show. He found joy in old cars, camping with family and friends, and visiting Lake Michigan. Above all, he treasured time spent with his grandchildren and his frequent chats with his sisters.
Ron had a notorious sweet tooth-he was rarely seen without a cookie in his hand.
His legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith will live on in all who knew and loved him.
A memorial service will be held at McBride Church of Christ, 4368 Division Street, McBride, MI 48852 on Sunday, July 13th at 12:30 pm with a picnic "Ron Style" to follow at the Robert Lee Davis Memorial Park in McBride. Please come casual. Family requests no flowers. I worked for Ron at Ore-Ida in the early 1980s. He was great to work with, and so trustworthy. We did have a lot of laughs, though. I was blessed to have known him. Godspeed, to you Ron.
