Todd Holland Obituary

Todd David Holland, 56, passed away peacefully on March 17th 2025, surrounded by family after a long, hard battle with cancer. Todd was born in Grand Ledge, Michigan on July 12th, 1968.
The son of Terry & Jan Holland and Richard Gee, Todd worked at Buck Stop for many years, then worked various jobs, including for a family friend until he got sick. Todd attended Grand Ledge High School until senior year and then graduated from a local alternative education school.
He enjoyed reminiscing about his 'rebellious' high school years and was happy to have recently reconnected with some of his high school friends. Those memories were very special to him. Todd enjoyed spending time with his friends and fishing on the lake with a cold beer. His friends were like a second family to him, and he loved them until the very end.
Todd enjoyed getting out on the pontoon on Clifford Lake or casting some lines off the dock. He passed his passion for fishing onto his son, Aaron. Todd was a free spirit and moved to wherever the wind took him. He lived most of his life in Stanton, spent some years in Lansing, his home town of Grand Ledge, then gravitated back near family to his favorite spot, Clifford Lake.
Todd was a natural comedian at heart. His children cherish the memories of having movie nights at his house. They would get pizzas, chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, and rent Adam Sandler and Jim Carey movies and then they'd all quote their favorite lines to each other laughing. "If I'm not back in 5 minutes, just wait longer" - Ace Ventura Pet Detective.
Todd is survived by his two children, Ashley Holland and Aaron Holland; brother, TJ (Melissa) Holland; niece, Madison Holland; nephew, Caleb Holland; and father figure, Jeff Edwards; as well as by many close friends that felt like family.
Todd was preceded in death by his mother; Jan Holland; adopted father, Terry Holland; biological father. Richard Gee; and his beloved grandparents.
A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at a later date.

My dear Todd, what a handsome picture of you! That is how I've always known you! There are a million things that I could say. We've known eachother since elementary school. I have loved you with all my heart every second. Such a great sense of humor right until the end. I'm so glad you are not suffering anymore. I picture you sliding down rainbows and riding shooting stars! My love for you compares to no one. God speed my friend! Sorry you had to feel your Mom leaving before you. Thank God she led the way...love and light, peace, power and praise, strength and stamina, radiant joy and inner calm. I look forward to seeing you on the other side one of my dearest friends. Praise God Almighty!

My cousin Todd was always making people laugh and smiling. I´ll always remember him babysitting TJ and I while growing up. He taught us a lot and kept our secrets, never told Aunt Jan and my mother how bad we were! Love you Todd, I know you´ll be keeping an eye on us from heaven! Rest of peace Cousin!
