Nancy E McKinley

Nancy Elizabeth McKinley, 78 of Bronson passed away Tuesday, December 08, 2020 at her home while surrounded by her loving family.

A graveside service will take place at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Fry Cemetery with Pastor Terry Siler of the First Congregational Church officiating. The family was cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.

Nancy was born July 23, 1942 to Albert and Barbara (Bassett) Hickey in Nashua, NH. After high school she attended Glen Oaks Community College. Nancy used her skills to work as a book keeper and payroll clerk. She spent time with Kirsch, B & F Grain, and LeRan Copper & Brass during her career. On June 16, 1962 she married the love of her life, Ronald McKinley in Orland.

Nancy was a woman with many interests. She was deeply involved with her family genealogy. Nancy was able to go back many generations and was to meet many of her extended family over the years. Nancy was very involved in 4H, where she was able to meet and teach many youngsters. She was well known for her cooking, baking & decorating wedding cakes. Nancy also liked to read mystery novels and in her younger days did a lot of sewing. She was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. Her true joy in life was being with her family, especially her grandkids. Nancy will be remembered as a devoted, loving, and caring woman to her family and friends. She will be missed by many.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ronald McKinley of Bronson; her sons Timothy (Julie) McKinley and Kenneth (Kathy Speelman) McKinley all of Bronson; her brother Steven (Kit) Hickey of Mongo; her grandsons Matthew, Aaron (Holly), Charles, Paul (Rachel), Isaac (Gabby), Liam, and Cael McKinley, Bryce and Darren Speelman; her great grandchildren BraeLynne, Silas, and Judah McKinley; and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law Patricia Hickey.
