Donald Wuethrick Obituary

Donald Fredrick Wuethrick

Born: June 25, 1945 | Died: October 29, 2025

On June 25, 1945, Donald and Amalia (Hermann) Wuethrick (known affectionately as Buddy

and Molly) of Sheboygan, WI witnessed a miracle come into their lives-a baby boy, Donald Fredrick Wuethrick. His sister, Darlene now had an inseparable companion, together again now for eternity.

Growing up in Sheboygan took Don through the course that his own sons and daughter would someday take, attending Trinity Lutheran School up to high school at Sheboygan South. Iowa State University was the next stop, but when architecture proved to be less than what he expected, he returned to Wisconsin to attend Madison Business College-an accountant was born, a career began, and he married the love of his life, Kathy (Geiger) on December 1st, 1968. A young family started, and the miracle of a life guided by God's love was well underway. His long career at Kohler Company in Kohler, WI brought with it countless friends, new obsessions (salmon fishing in the Sheboygan River, racquetball tournaments, photography, model trains, and so much more). He retired from Kohler in 2013, having lived in Edmond, OK, and now Maryville, TN. Don brought everything he had to his family. He and Kathy raised two sons, Donald A. (wife Deborah) and David (wife-Reina), and a daughter, Jennifer (husband-Kevin). A household filled with love, patience, and God-filled purpose, went on to become more than a family-a legacy began. Having grown up in a home rooted in God's love, Don's children understood the strength in family is God's solid and unshakeable foundation. He led by example serving in many capacities in the Lutheran Church, such as elder, usher, fun guy to talk to while drinking watered-down church coffee, but most notably connecting with kids in a program he loved, Buddy Break where he influenced countless children, sharing God's love with them.

The legacy continues with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Not one of his grandchildren Tiffany Wuethrick (fiancé-Krishon), Victoria Wuethrick (wife-Nyala), Brianna Howell (fiancé Gavin), nor Kyleigh Howell, will ever forget or deny the love he shared with them in so many ways from attending dance recitals, birthdays, graduations, and every family gathering imaginable. Carrying on further, those grandchildren are well on their way to families of their own with God's blessings of great grandchildren Kylo and Kadeaux Day (mother-Tiffany) and the latest edition, Elias Hale (mother Brianna). They are clear evidence that while we mourn, God provides new life and new celebrations. On October 29, 2025, after more than 80 years of faithful servitude, God (and Don's sister, Darlene who went to heaven on the same day, five years earlier) called Don home. He left in the same way he entered this life-a miracle surrounded by loving family and friends.
