Donnie Cogburn Obituary
Born: January 16, 1996 | Died: July 19, 2025
Donnie "Grant" Cogburn, age 29 of Maryville, passed away suddenly Saturday, July 19, 2025. Grant was a 2014 graduate of William Blount High School and was a member of the baseball and football teams at William Blount and Alcoa High School. He spent last year as a T-Ball coach. He was presently employed with Koala Insulation. Grant was a family man and loved spending time with his family, but being a Father to his daughter, Norah Rain was the joy of his life. He married the love of his life, Baylee on May 11, 2024. Grant enjoyed the outdoors especially going fishing. He was a loving and giving person with a charitable heart who would do anything for anyone in need. Grant was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew and a true friend who will be deeply missed by those who knew him. Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harold and Martha Cogburn; maternal grandparents, Harold and Ruth Houk; and 2 uncles, Terry and Randy Cogburn; Survived by his wife, Baylee Majors Cogburn; daughter, Norah Rain Cogburn; parents, Donnie Cogburn and fiancé, Wendy of Maryville and Jill Cogburn of Knoxville; brother, Logan (Jenna) Cogburn of Maryville; uncle and aunt, Eddie and Betty Cogburn of Maryville; mother-in-law, Patricia (Shannon) Majors of Maryville; nephew, Cullen Majors of Maryville; many other family members also. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in the Smith Trinity Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with rev. Jimmy Effler and Rev. Robbie Harington officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Zion's Chapel Church Cemetery for the interment service and burial.
