Frances Warner Obituary

Frances Lynne Bonfardin Warner

Born: July 17, 1939 | Died: September 12, 2025

Our cherished mother, Frances Lynne Bonfardin Warner, entered God's Glory on Friday, September 12, 2025. Lynne is preceded in death by her husband James Warner; her parents Howard Carr and Helen Stefania; and her brother David Carr. Lynne resided in the Blount County area for over fifty years. She was a highly successful real estate agent in that area for many years. She loved being able to use her expertise and knowledge of real estate "to help people." She prided herself on helping families find their perfect homes. At the end of her real estate career, she was awarded the status of Realtor Emeritus, an honor of which she was extremely proud.

Lynne loved her family. She was a beautiful person, inside and out. She enjoyed many activities including tennis, reading, golf, board games, and bridge. She loved to travel, traveling abroad many times to many different countries. She particularly loved the fine arts, including the Opera, Ballet, and Symphony. She enjoyed the finer things of life and lived her life fully. She was on the Board of the Appalachian Ballet, an honor to her. Lynne was a long-time member of Saint Andrews Church in Maryville. Lynne enjoyed her community of many friends, including her wonderful friend, Betsy Taub. She enjoyed the friendships of her $10 Club, as well as her tennis group, her pickleball group and her yoga friends. She was a long-time member of Green Meadow County Club.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Bonfardin Schaad and Stuart Schaad; her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Brian Bonfardin and Dr. Virginia Farr; and her daughter, Barkley Lynn Mencer. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Margaret Bonfardin and husband Jack Chen; Andrew Mencer and wife Adiana Mencer, Dr. Nicholas Mencer and wife Dr. Jen Dutmers; Stephen Bonfardin; Jackson Schaad; and Natalie Schaad Sayler and husband Dr. Cameron Sayler. In addition, Lynne is survived by her great grandchildren: Claire Chen, Camille Chen, Amelia Mencer, Andres Mencer, Ace Mencer, and another great grandchild due any day now. She is further survived by her brothers: James Carr, Steve Carr, Michael Carr and Dave David.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Blount County Public Library.

There will be a celebration of Lynne's life on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Pryse Pavillion at Lakeshore Park, 5930 Lyons View Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee. Please join us to celebrate Lynne Warner and the wonderful, enriched and warm life she lived.
