Lonnie William Gribble

Born: December 22, 1964 | Died: September 2, 2025

Lonnie loved God and his family and friends. Lonnie loved to play music and played many different instruments throughout the years. He especially loved playing the guitar and enjoyed participating in many bands and on praise teams at the churches he attended throughout the years. He chose what he wanted in his obituary.

Lonnie is preceded in death by: Grandparents Willie & Bea (Gourley) Clark, Father Johnny C. Burns, adoptive father Arthur Gribble, mother Mary Ann Gribble. Father-in-law Jim Griffin. Infant twin brother Johnny Burns. Brother-in-law Tony Griffin. Step sister Donna King. Uncles: Elmer and Paul Clark.

Lonnie is survived by: spouse of 43 years Martha Gribble, children: son, Shaun Gribble (girlfriend Lindsey Briscoe), daughter, Brandi (Ian) Hooie. Mother-in-law Joan Griffin. Step father Luther Williams. Brothers: Johnny (Tina) Burns, Clint Burns, Step brother Andy (Becky) Williams. Sister: Sharon (Ryan) Arwood. Brother-in-law: James Griffin, Sisters-in-law: Ginny (Ricky) Frye, Amy (Charlie) Payne, and Charity Griffin. Several beloved nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, in laws, and many special friends. Extra special friends Lonnie named: Jimmy Bolinger, Kevin Young, Daniel Strayn, Donnie Baker, Teresa Dowling, Vickie Atkins, Jessica Pendergrass, Shane Smith, Steffanie Barber, Kasie Breeden his #1 bigfoot buddy, Chandra Garland his almost number 1, Greg Bennett his favorite Chaplain, The Word, Williams, Sparks and Amburn families. All the old Midland Restaurant Gang and his communication class friends and many church family friends made through the years. There are many others he named and it was hard for him to stop adding names there were so many special people to Lonnie and who became family/friends along life's way that he and family have worked with and gone to church with and that he played music and games with. Many special people from PBC, GMCOG, FAC, MFH, FCF & SMCH who he loved and was loved by. Please know if you loved him, he loved you.
