My deepest condolences to Alec's family and friends. I do not know Alec or his family and friends, but I was very touched by the honesty shared in this obituary. He was obvioulsy an extraordianry young man and he touched the hearts and minds of all who knew him. I appreciated the fact that the truth shared here puts a human face on the drug epidemic. It is a cancer that touches so many, Alec's struggle and eventual loss shows that there are no typical drug users, addiction knows no boundries...may your memories support you at this most difficult and sad time. With Heartfelt Sympathy from a stranger who cares.

To Alec's family,
I am so very sorry for your great loss of Alec.
He sounds like a wonderful person.
This can happen to any of us, regardless of the love and support we give our children. I admire your being candid - perhaps it will help save another.
You and Alec are in my prayers, and in my heart.
Sincerely,
Deborah Campbell

My dearest condolences to Alec's family. He was obviously loved unconditionally as my family loves me unconditionally. My girlfriend was friends with Alec and she was very upset to hear about his passing. I never met Alec, but by listening to my girlfriend and reading the beautiful obituary his parents wrote I understand that he was a beautiful human being and was taken before his time. I'll keep his family in my prayers. Having had my own struggles with opiates I understand how hard it can be. Some of the most beautiful and intelligent people I have ever met have struggled with addiction and Alec was obviously one of those people. I'll take his passing as a lesson for me to live a good life and to be a better person sober. Where does a ripple go? It keeps on going. Thank you.
