Annie Constantine

East Lyme - Annie Constantine, 92, of Bush Hill Drive, Niantic, passed away Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014.

She was born on March 17, 1922, to the late Nicholas and Tekla (Martynuk) Stadnick Sr. of Black Point Road, Niantic. Annie graduated from Chapman Technical School in New London in 1941. On Nov. 22, 1943, she married Thomas T. Constantine Sr. of New London, who predeceased her on Nov. 13, 2013 after 70 years of marriage.

During the course of her life, she was a member of the St. Sophia Hellenic Greek Orthodox Church of New London, the Philoptochos Society and the Daughters of Penelope.

She is survived by three sons, George Constantine and his wife, Judith, of Denver, Colo., Thomas T. Constantine Jr. and his wife, Sue, of Mystic and Christopher Constantine and his wife, Deborah, of Bethel Park, Pa.; her sister, Sylvia (Stadnick) McArthur; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive her.

Her sisters, Helen Lake and Mary Rigero and brothers, Michael, Francis, Nicholas, Joseph, Fred and John Stadnick, predeceased her.

At 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 2014, a viewing will be held at St. Sophia Hellenic Greek Orthodox Church, 200 Hempstead St., New London, prior to a funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at the Union Cemetery on East Pattagansett Road, Niantic.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the St. Sophia Hellenic Orthodox Church, 200 Hempstead St., New London, CT 06320.
