Arthur Root Obituary
Arthur graduated from Bothell High School in 1947. He joined the U.S. Navy in October 1948 and served until September 1952. In October 1952, he was employed by General Dynamics, Electric Boat in Groton.
Arthur was a loving and devoted husband, having been married to his beloved wife, Josephine, for 74 years.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. May 6, 2025, at Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 48 Grand Street, Niantic, for family and friends to say their last farewell and prayers. Then, a procession and burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in New London.
