I met June in 1976, as a freshman at Conn. I was immediately inspired by her enthusiasm and seemingly boundless energy! She always made time to meet with me, and was tremendously supportive. My deepest condolences to June´s family. She was an amazing person.

Prof. Macklin was my advisor at Conn. She was an inspiration and an amazing mentor. I remember the annual Anthropology majors dinner at her home off campus, with South American specialties. My condolences to her family.

My deepest condolences to June's family. June was such a dynamic, knowledgeable and charming person, so much energy and enthusiasm for everything; What an amazing person to have in your family! "Too much sanity may be madness - and maddest of all: to see life as it is, and not as it should be!" June saw what life should and could be, always reaching for chances to make life an adventure, and so she lived most well.

My sympathies to June Macklin´s family. I remember June as am optimistic, cheerful and encouraging faculty colleague, always glad to stop to chat in Winthrop or in the campus post office. I enjoyed hearing her colorful stories about life at Connecticut College for Women in the 1950s and 1960s.

As a child I use to help take care of Dr. Macklins horse at Conn College riding stable and will always remember how she would keep her small adorable dog with her in a big purse. So sorry for your loss she was a very fun lady in my life.
