Brodie Brigham Obituary

Westbrook - God brought our Brodie back to Heaven July 18, 2024. Brodie "Brodester" Keegan Brigham was born in New Haven Dec. 28, 2008. Brodie is survived by his parents Timothy and Michele Brigham; and his brother Connor Brigham of Westbrook; grandparents, Gregory and Peggy Jordan of Stonington. He is predeceased Jack Brigham and Janet Brigham; uncles and aunties: Peter and Maureen Brigham of Waterford, Mary Lee (Stephen) Shaw of Old Lyme, Christoper and Cindy Jordan of Clinton; cousins, Dylan, (wife) Sara and Addison Howley, Hannah (husband) Andrew Bendicksen, Hope Brigham (fiancé Justin), Casey Brigham, Jack and Guadalupe Brigham, Lindsay Shaw (Pepe), Finn, and Theo Silvia, Patrick (wife) Nichol Shaw and Anthony Jordan. Brodie also loved Uncle Tom and Aunt Alison Davis, Auntie Kimberly and Kurt Gottschall, KJ and Jenn Capano, Kate Hennessy, Rebecca Devens, Gabrielle and Rigg Gottschall, Kayla Capano, and Brodie's best friend, Ryan Keenan.

Brodie attended The Foundation School in Orange for eleven years; The Foundation School was Brodie's home away from home. Brodie had so many wonderful trips and experiences at Foundation going to N.Y.C., going to the Senior Center, rec nights, making sandwiches for the shelter, and basketball events with Coach Byrd. Brodie was a door holder for his friends and the past few years had a job doing bus duty helping his friends out of their rides to school. We are so thankful and blessed that Brodie had so many wonderful teachers to guide him and us through his journey. We are grateful to Bob Pelton and Lenny Cohen for their patience, kindness, knowledge and culture, and most of all for keeping Brodie and Ryan safe to and from school.

Brodie left his mark on everyone he met. Brodie greeted everyone with his kind and infectious smile. Opening the door at St, Mark Church to greet parishioners coming in for Mass, and wishing everyone a good day at the food pantry or the way he interacted with people; Brodie tried to be nice to all. We will miss Brodie's kind, funny and infectious smile. Brodie was full of life.

Brodie's favorite color was red. We ask you to honor Brodie by wearing something red for his celebration services. Donations can be made to The Foundation School, 719 Derby Milford Road, Orange, CT 06477.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, August 1, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons East Lyme Funeral Home, 48 Grand Street, Niantic. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2, at St. Mark Catholic Church, 222 McVeagh Road, Westbrook.

What a wonderful blessing was bestowed upon Brodie and his amazing Family and Friends during his all too brief but loving life. His love of life for all his friends and loved ones will carry you through this difficult time. When you look to the sky on a clear , cool night , the brightest star you see will be Brodie's star shining his love to all of you. I know God has a very special angel in His care. Know others share your pain and send love and prayers to all of you. Sincerely , Cheryl Bucchi-Campanaro
