Candace Clark Obituary

Colchester - Candace Ann "Candy" Clarke passed away June 19, 2023, at the Apple Hospice in Colchester.

She was the daughter of Janet DeGraw Clarke and Waldo K. Clarke and was born and raised in New London.

She is survived by her sister, Sandra Oney. She was predeceased by her parents and by her brother George K. Clarke who passed away this past December. Candy is also survived by her nephew Edward Clarke and his wife, Judy and their son, George; her niece, Jacquelyn and her children; and by Candy's cousins, Chris and Jim Wolff; and by Valerie, Stephanie, Melanie, Cindy and Lindy, the Wies girls and their sons and daughters and grandchildren.

Candy first attended Grace New Haven School of Nursing, followed by time spent taking courses in many other colleges. After various occupations, Candy spent her last working years in New York City employed by a homeless shelter, prior to her retiring and returning to reside here in New London.

She was a very proud and dedicated member of G.A., both in New York and in Waterford.

Services will be private.
