Charles Lamphere Obituary
Born in Norwich on July 16, 1928, he was the son of the late Howard W. and Dorothy (Thorpe) Lamphere.
He was the loving husband of Catherine (Strickland) Lamphere. They were married for 59 years until her passing in 2009.
Charlie was retired after working for 30 years as a lab technician at Pfizer in Groton.
He is survived by his daughters, Dori Montgomery and husband, Robert, and Betty Terni and husband, Vincent; his grandchildren; great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; brother, Howard W. "Bill" Lamphere and wife, Dorothy; two nephews; and a niece.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 14, at the Fort Shantock Burial Grounds.
The Woyasz & Son Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
