Mr. Weston was born on Sept. 3, 1926, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of Charles H. and Lizette G. Weston.
His wife, Janet Helen Weston, predeceased him in 1990.
He was employed for many years in the construction of military hardware and nuclear plants, retiring as a quality control manager in 1994 from Contromatics in East Hartford. He enjoyed his annual trips to Australia to visit his daughter and will be remembered as a devoted grandfather to his four grandchildren.
Mr. Weston was also a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy as a pharmacist's mate third class. He was honorability discharged July of 1946.
Mr. Weston is survived by his son, Charles "Chip" and his wife, Diane Weston, of Salem; his daughter, Sue and her husband, Acky Attwater, of Australia; and his four grandchildren, Benjamin Attwater of Australia and Gregory, Abby, and Emily Weston of Salem.
A funeral service will he held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2007, in Church and Allen Funeral Home, Route 32, Montville. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery in Norwich. A visiting hour will be held one hour prior to the service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Salem Volunteer fire Dept., Rt. 85, Salem CT 06420.
