Christopher McCormack Obituary
He was born in New London April 25, 1952, the son of Christopher McCormack III and Emma Baldelli McCormack. He married the love of his life Phyllis Kononchik McCormack May 29, 1976 at St. Joseph's Church. She survives him.
Mr. McCormack was a graduate of New London High School, Class of 1970, and he received an associate's degree from Three Rivers. He was the owner of Safe Harbor Insurance Company. He was a member of the AAA Lions Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Gregory McCormack and his wife Melissa of East Haddam, and Christopher L. McCormack V and his wife Nicole of West Hartford; a daughter Katherine Gallaher and her husband Jason of Ledyard; and eight grandchildren: Gregor, Madison, Thomas, Lilah, Shawn, Seth, Emma and Avery.
Mr. McCormack made the most life serving as Boy Scout leader and little league baseball coach for his children, past member of the Mohegan Fire House, AAA Lions Club volunteer, model railroad hobbyist, sailing enthusiast and an avid golfer. He enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his cherished grandchildren.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Avenue, New London. Interment will be at a later date. Condolences may be left on Chris' memorial page at http://www.neilanfuneralhome.com.

Chris was a Great friend, I first met him when he owned his golf store on Bank street in new London, one day we got to talking about computers and we became good friends, I have been thinking about him over the years, May he Rest In Peace. To his family, I am so sorry for your loss.

Phyllis and family... I was saddened to learn of Chris' passing. I have many good memories of our time working together on the Pfizer FD
and our time as volunteers with Mohegan Fire Co. when we lived in Uncasville. Chris always had an upbeat attitude and was well known for his sense of humor and perspective on many issues.

Chris and I were childhood friends and our mothers were best friends. We traveled together often - even spending six weeks together in Italy with his mother, Emma's, relatives. I moved back to New London recently and am sorry that I did not get in touch with him. I am so sorry to hear of his passing.
