Dale Hill Obituary
She was born in Norwich, on May 2, 1953, the daughter of Cornelius R. and Dorothy (Herrick) Hoelck, and was married to Murray S. Hill in Niantic, on May 12, 1973.
Dale worked as an administrative aide specialist at Electric Boat for 24 years, retiring this year. She had also been a union steward for the Marine Draftsmen's Association for 12 years and had worked as a secretary in the MDA union office. Dale was a volunteer for the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut.
She enjoyed her time on the beach and taking Caribbean vacations, especially to Aruba.
In addition to her husband, Murray, she is survived by a daughter, Melissa M. Cooley and her husband, Christopher, of Jewett City; two sisters, Carol Hoelck Adams and her husband, Francis, of Old Saybrook, and Sue Ellen Perry of Groton; three grandchildren, Sierra, Mackenzie, and Madison Cooley; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Neil "Mickey" Hoelck.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20, at St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Church, 69 Groton Long Point Road, Groton. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Norwich. There are no calling hours.
Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington St., New London, is assisting with the arrangements.
