I was deeply sadden to hear of your wife's passing earlier this past week. This is one of those things so difficult to understand, and words seem so useless. May you and your daughter Alexandria be given the strength to bear this heavy burden.

Ellen and I were contemporaries working for attorneys in the Essex/Centerbrook area back in the 80s. We also took a real estate Principles and Practice at the same time and had many laughs together. She was a beautiful gal with a great heart and sense of humor. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.

Dear Rich and Alexandra --
Pat and I were stunned and saddened when we heard of Ellen's passing. I remember her as a child on the beach at Blake Ave., and watched her grow into an amazing wife and mother. She was so proud of you both. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and all the family.

Rich,
Very sad to learn of Ellens' sudden passing. I saw her not too long ago moving things from her mom's home. Though it seems like it happened a lifetime ago, I still have visions in my mind of the Dwyer teenagers water skiing off the beach with John at the helm of their boat. My condolences to you and your family on your loss.

Rich and Alexandra,There are no words for what Steve and I are feeling. It was such a shock to hear of Ellen's
passing. I remember all the good times we had when Ellen and the family stayed at the inn and I remember your wedding and the reception. Her smile and wit were infectious. We are all better for knowing her. All our love and prayers. Gina,Steve and Ross Wohlke

Dear Rich and Alex,
Susan Fay just emailed me about Ellen> I am so sorry, so so sorry. Have to tell you as soon as I read about Ellen I was flooded with memories of her love for the Beatles, sharing our first cigarette, talking to Robert Cersosimo on the phone and hanging out at the Acorn Shop. Our childhood days in West Hartford were so happy and I will always remember Ellen with our shared spirit of adventure and joy.
Alex, we haven't met yet and I know you are hearing just wonderful things about her as an adult. Please know your mom was just as fantastic as a kid. I will meet you Saturday and would be happy to bore you beyond belief with endless stories of her childhood. Much of whom I am today is because of years of shared experience with your mom. The way we grew up made me a better mom as I am sure it did Ellen. All my love and sympathy for you both.

Rich and Alexandra, I am so sad to learn of Ellen's passing - I can hardly write those words. She was such an integral part of my childhood I would hardly know where to begin with most important memories. We did everything together and the space between our houses was worn out from all the back and forth. It has been one of the regrets of leaving New England that it has been so hard to keep in close contact with important people. I'm so glad that we spoke fairly recently.
Please accept my sincere condolences.
