Frances Brayman Obituary
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose kindness and undeniable love shaped all of those who were lucky enough to know her. She found her greatest joy in her family and was known for her beautifully knitted crafts. Fran was a long-time member of Union Baptist Church in Mystic, where she enjoyed fellowship and community.
Fran was predeceased by her husband of many years, Douglas E. Brayman Sr.; as well as her parents; sisters and brothers; and son-in-law Christopher Powden. She is survived by her children, Douglas (Cynthia) Brayman Jr. and Beverly Powden; as well as her six grandchildren, Casey Powden, Jordan (Amanda) Brayman, MaryKate Powden, Sergeant 1st Class Michael (Laura) Powden, Elizabeth Brayman, and Stephen Brayman; and her two great-grandchildren, Jax and Kai Powden.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 9, at Union Baptist Church in Mystic (119 High St.) with a private burial in the spring. Family and friends are invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Union Baptist Church. The Dinoto Funeral Home is assisting the family.
