Francis Matovic Obituary
Francis was best known for his many years of dedicated work at Dominion Power Plant and for founding and running Save The Kid, a charitable organization focused on helping children in need.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 12, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home in Griswold. A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. Friday, June 13, at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Preston. Burial, with military honors, will immediately follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Norwich. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Save The Kid at www.savethekid.org, in honor of Francis's enduring commitment to helping others.

A great friend and a great man. His intelligence and generosity was unmatched. I spent over 25 years working with him on the board of Save the Kid Fund. There are thousands of children and families he touched with his kindness and compassion. Their lives are better because of Frank. He kept the charity moving forward to insure his legacy
