After Germany, George finished his career as site supervisor/liaison with the U.S. Army for the Apache AH64 Gunship at Fort Carson, Colo.

George was one of those very special people we are lucky enough to meet in our lifetime. He´s been a very, very dear friend for over 45 years and one of the most genuine persons you could ever hope to meet. We´re going to miss our phone calls, miss the funny pranks we would all pull on each other and miss the good times we all had. We´re still laughing at the `Hurricane´ prank we pulled on George. We have so many wonderful memories of all the times we spent with him, and with Sally both in Germany and Florida. Our hearts and condolences go out to his family and especially to Kent and Sandra who are a wonderful tribute to George and Sally.

I was on the NFA cross country team with George.
The last time I saw him at Parks' Place, he had some great stories to tell about his years in Germany.
