Gladys Buck Obituary

Mystic - Gladys "Dee-Dee" L. Buck, 72, of Mystic, died Jan. 27, 2024 at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital. She is predeceased by her husband, George E. Buck.

Dee-Dee was born in New London May 7, 1951, the daughter of George and Gladys (Singer) Caswell. She grew up in North Stonington in a family of nine children. She graduated from Wheeler High School.

She worked at several restaurants and coffee shops in the area, most recently Red Rooster. She also had worked at Ashaway Line and Twine.

She is survived by her son, David Buck; and grandchildren, Madison, Tanner and Elena. She is also survived by her brothers: Joseph, David (Carol), Elias, and John Caswell; and her step-siblings, Rhandi, Rebecca and Martha. In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her brothers, Paul, George, Jamie and Louie; and her step-children, Michelle and Mickey.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at the North Stonington Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Gingerella officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the family plot in Elm Grove Cemetery. The Dinoto Funeral Home is assisting the family.
