East Haven - Heather Ann Duddy Wysocki, 43, of East Haven, formerly of Old Lyme, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018, at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Heather was born at Yale-New Haven Hospital on June 6, 1975. She grew up in Old Lyme attending elementary, middle and high school up through graduation in June of 1993. Upon graduation, she attended Branford Hall Career Institute, receiving a degree as a medical assistant. Heather always had a passion for helping others, and with her degree, made it her career to help others, spending over 15 years caring for patients at County OBGYN.

Heather has always been a caring, thoughtful, and kind person, putting the needs of others before her own all the time. She may have been little in stature, but she was also had a fierce, competitive side playing softball and crew growing up. She was an active participant with the East Haven Athletic Booster Club and gave many hours to supporting fund raising events, especially participating in multiple Cancer Awareness Walks over the years.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Edward J. Wysocki; her son Eric J. Wysocki; and her daughter, Kelly A. Wysocki. Also missed by her mother, Patricia A. Bugbee; brother, John P. Duddy and his family; and grandfather, Donald S. Bugbee. Heather is surrounded by a very large family of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, and amazing friends and coworkers that were all loved by her.

Heather is predeceased by her father, John W. Duddy; grandmother, Dorothy K. Bugbee; and grandparents, John J. and Anne Duddy.

There will be a wake held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at the Porto Funeral Home, 234 Foxon Road, East Haven, with private burial at a later date.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

Heather I am still in shock! The days are going by and the thoughts of you not with us are heartbreaking. The house will be empty without you when the family goes to visit. The pictures and the decor will remind us of you, but will not be the same. Your smile and giggle will always be with me. Luna is going to be lost without you! You are going to be missed so much! You're flying above with the angels...Love you xoxoxo
