Irene McCarthy Obituary
There will be a closed casket visitation hour from 10 until 11 a.m. Friday, April 25, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 149 Montauk Avenue, New London, followed by 11 a.m. Mass. Interment will take place immediately following mass at Avery-Stoddard Cemetery, 202 Stoddard's Wharf Road, Gales Ferry.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St Ann Melkite Greek Catholic Church, 41 Cross Road, Waterford, CT or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Father Dennis, Kathleen, Virginia, Family and friends of your dear mother and sister I am thinking of you during this difficult time. With my deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences. Father you recently mentioned how you felt like Job I’m able to sympathize and empathize with you, since I also had difficult occasions when I felt akin to Job.
