Dear Henry Family,
What an amazing man your father, grandfather, great grandfather was!!! He modeled for us what a true learner is! Despite his age, he took up the challenge to learn each and every day. He learned to read and wrote a book in his 90's. We will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers as you continue your earthly journey.

Sincerely,
Mary & Sam Porter-Price

Marlisa and Alicia-I so enjoyed knowing "Mr. Henry" and having the opportunity to know you while he lived at Academy Point. I always enjoyed his stories, that wonderful smile, his kindness, and his determination. He set such a wonderful example in learning to read at his age. An example that will continue to touch the lives of many. He always spoke so lovingly of you. He will be missed. My condolences to you and your family.

Jim lived across the street from me and for years was always great to talk to. He called on me to replace the electrical power panel when the old one was a problem.

One day he showed up at me house with an autographed copy of his book. I felt humbled at the fact that he thought of me. That was Jim was very typical of Jim.

Jim, you were always one with a heart for the fishing community in Stonington and the "Blessing of the Fleet" that you were instrumental in starting.
