She was born in Norwich on May 9, 1941 to Edward and Catherine (Dutka) Barry Sr. and wife of Richard Dupont Sr.
Janice was united in marriage to her beloved husband of 46 years at St. Thomas Church in Voluntown, on July 4, 1961; together they raised five children. Janice was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a minister and servant of the Lord and an awesome woman of Christian faith, who now walks with the Lord.
Janice is survived by her loving husband, Richard Dupont Sr., of Uncasville; her mother, Catherine Barry, of Griswold; brother, Edward Barry Jr., of Griswold; sons, Richard Dupont Jr., of Groton and James Dupont, of Oakdale; daughters, Sharon Biltcliffe and her husband, Gary, of Groton, Sherry Branch and her husband, Richard, of Gales Ferry and Suzanne Healy and her husband, Bruce, of Gales Ferry; grandchildren, Richard Branch Jr., Michael Branch, Michele (Biltcliffe) Carey, Matthew Biltcliffe, Christopher Healy and Megan Healy; great-granddaughter, Abriel Carey; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father, Edward Barry Sr.
Calling hours will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. with a 9 p.m. funeral home service at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen, Rt. 32, Montville on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007.
Donations in Janice's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 106 Rt. 32, Franklin, CT 06254.

Dear Dick, Sharon, Sherry & Family,

I am very sorry to hear of the loss of Mrs. Dupont. Growing up as a close friend of Jim, I have many great memories of Mrs. Dupont's kindness and hospitality. She was a wonderful woman and my heart goes out to Mr. Dupont, Jim, and to all the family and friends who were close to her.
