John Holt Obituary
John worked in Electrical Design for Electric Boat (EB), retiring after 46 years. Prior to EB, he proudly served as a submariner in the U.S. Navy for four years.
Above all, John treasured his family and loved spending time with them. He will be deeply missed by his wife Sue; sister-in-law Paula J. Moran; his two beloved nieces, whom he raised as his own, Sarah Iadarola (Matthew) and Amy Ryan (Tim), and their children, Vincent Iadarola, and Abigail and Ellen Ryan; his sister Jody Bracken of Pawhuska, Okla.; and his Maltese, Molly. John was predeceased by his sister Velda McGinn; and brother Donald Holt.
Visiting hours are omitted. A private funeral service and burial with Full Military Honors will be held at the convenience of the family. Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly is in charge of the arrangements. For online condolences please visit www.gaffneydolanfuneralhome.com

John was a very smart, outstanding and kind designer at EB. I can´t remember a day when he didn´t have a smile on his face. As a neighbor, he was a pleasure around our firepit sharing a beer and conversation. My deepest sympathy to Sue and sister-in-law Paula for your loss. May he rest in peace.
