Jorge Dabdoub Saravia Obituary
He became a physician upon graduating from De La Salle in Mexico in 1988, and completed his internal medicine residency in Bridgeport. During these times, he lived his dream of practicing medicine and caring for his patients; he always said, "I could not imagine pursuing any other career." He treated each patient and person in his life with generosity, kindness and compassion. His love for his family, both immediate and extended, was unparalleled.
He is survived by his wife Carolina Dabdoub Urbizo; his kids, Monique, Jorge and Georgina Dabdoub; his mother Carmen Dabdoub; and by his siblings, Felipe, Jose Mario and Ana Maria Dabdoub. He will always be in our hearts and greatly missed.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, at the Woyasz & Son Funeral Home, 11 Jerome Road, Uncasville. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1 p.m. Thursday, June 23, at at the Cathedral of St. Patrick, 213 Broadway, Norwich.

My son and I were patients of Dr.Dabdoub for many years till his unfortunate death. My son is special needs and we actually started with him when he was in Gales Ferry. A very compationate man and well liked by all, he will be sorely misssed. As an aside, I will miss talking Yankee baseball with him. Rest in Peace.

I have greived over the last several months deeply and not one day had passed since the untimely passing of our dear and beloved Dr. Jorge Dabdou, a highly respected man of health, of society and to all whom crossed his path. He was also my Hermano, sort of - but my Jefe of life. I would fly 2 to 3 days six times a year just to see him for my ailments, injuries etc., and he solved everything with his kidness, his humor and his faith.... of course he also had his most dear and belovid Wife Madam Carolina besides him, which gave me that much more confidence. Doctor Dabdoub, your absence, although now your seated in the Kingdom of Heaven, has created a huge void in both myself, Manuella and all whom you cared for over so many decades of being there. That our Almighty God in Heaven continue to give you life above and to protect all that is needed.

I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Dabdoub's passing. Having worked with him in various settings when I was an agency nurse as well as being his patient for the last 20 years, I will remember him as a very caring human being and an exemplary physician.

My Thoughts and Prayers go out to Dr. Dabdoub's entire Family and Staff as well ... It was such sad news to hear of his passing. He was a very good and caring Dr. ( Old School ) which is very hard to find these days, it was always a true pleasure to see him, I had seen him just a week before he passed and I will forever Cherish that final visit.

We just learned of Jorge's passing. My gosh my heart is broken. He has been our personal physician for over 20 years. He was such a caring, compassionate man who took the time to actually listen and talk to his patients. Drs like that are so few and far between. Truly a loss to this world.

I was a patient of Dr. Dabdoub. I found him to be a compassionate, careful listener who always asked pertinent questions and found his recommendations and prescriptions to be extremely helpful. God Bless Dr. Dabdoub and please watch over all his family and friends in their time of sorrow.

We just read this very sad news. Like so many others, Dr. Dabdoub was our Dr. for at least 25 years. Our thoughts go out to all of you at this great loss. He was an amazing man who very obviously loved his family and his profession. We will miss him . It will be difficult to find someone as caring as he was . We always felt we were in "good hands" through the years.

I feel so sad to read this news. Dr. Dabdoub was my mother's beloved doctor for many years. He was so competent, patient and kind. She felt very cared for by Dr. Dabdoub and his staff. The world has lost such a compassionate soul. My deepest sympathy to his family.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Dr Dabdoub´s passing. I worked with him many years ago when I worked at Norwichtwon Convalescent Home.
He then share individuals with me over the years in my role as a group home nurse. He wa every caring the individuals we shared truely received good care and the ones who were verbal always told me how they liked their doctor.

My heart is broken, not only was he my doctor for about 20 years who literally saved my life a couple of times, he was my friend. Frankly I hated going to doctors appointments but with him it was different. Always professional with a no nonsense demeanor yet caring and compassionate. Always when hospitalized and he was making his rounds after he did his doctor stuff he still would make time to sit at the foot of the bed and talk a bit. His parting words to me was normally don't give up. My last office visit we joked around a bit and I asked him if he ever slept? I have no idea how he did better the hospital, rehab center and his office patients. The guy was simply amazing as far as I'm concerned. His family/ office staff always was kind and pleasurable to deal with bot in person or on the phone. I'm going to be lost without him, and miss him already. Rest easy Dr. D. Know you were loved and needed by many. Thanks for everything you've done for me over the years. Charlie

He was a wonderful doctor, teacher, colleague and friend. His patients and family always came first, were always before thoughts of himself. He made a difference in a world that can be a hard place to be sometimes. I will miss him beyond words. I am shocked and saddened upon reading about the passing of Dr. Dabdoub. He had been my GP for many, many years, until we moved to Palm Coast, Fl. in 2020. He was indeed kind and compassionate, but always with a joke and a laugh about how old we were getting as we shared the same birthday! He will be missed by so many of his patients.
