Joseph Bingham Obituary
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Kaylee Bingham and her mother, Jessica Chartier; his mother, Suzanne Smith and husband, Robert Smith; his brother, William Bingham and wife, Jolene; a niece, Laurel Bingham; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be sadly missed by all.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, St. David's Episcopal Church, Route 12, Gales Ferry.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a scholarship fund for Kaylee Bingham at Dime Savings Bank in Norwich.

Peace. I’m am so late with this and honestly just found out. Joey! We grew up together as childhood friends and lost touch over the years. But the memories of playing b-ball trying to solidify “King of the Yantic” and the joy shared when freestyle rapping over beats in your basement still resonate and will live on forever. I could sit here a fill pages of memories that doesn't bring any justice to the kind, passionate, loving man and father Joey was. Every life was blessed with meeting him sensed it. Also, to witness the depth of love he had for Sue, Bill, and Kaylee was inspiring. Joeys path through my life has been a maze and more recently he has become my best friend. I am so proud to be able to say Joey has made me a better person. I will always be here for you Sue and Bill. Most importantly, Jess, I am so glad he mended our ties to see Kaylee through this.

Even though I have only seen Joey a few times since we were kids I will never forget all the memories I have of playing together when we were little. Bill and Joey were the closest thing I ever had to big brothers and I cannot believe Joey is gone. I will always remember our New years Eve parties with Jane, banging on pots and pans at midnight =), hanging out in the basement listening to the radio and playing with your matchbox cars and all your other "boys" toys in your room. I can honestly say Joey, you may be gone but will never be forgotten.

I wanted to share my condolences to the Bingham family, It's a very hard time for you. I went to high school with Joe and he always had a huge smile everytime I would see him. I remember all the great plans he had for his life and how proud he was of those decisions.

Sue, Bill and Family,
I just learned of Joes passing and was taken back. He was a great guy. I had seen him not to long ago at a a benefit and we talked about the old neighborhood. He caught me up on all the news. He was a proud father and showed me pictures of his daughter. Both Bill and Joe were always good to Jess and Megan and they liked hanging out together. My deepest condolences at this difficult time.

While we lost touch over the years, I will always remember with a smile all the hours we spent as kids playing together after school and during the summers on the Norwichtown Green, the Little League Field, and everywhere else around town. We had a lot of good times just living innocently as kids, playing rough but always having a fun. That's how I'll remember you Joe, you will be missed. I am soo very sorry for your lost of Joe he was a great man with a huge heart and made people laugh all the time....one will never know why god wanted to take him so young. May god guide your family through this tough time. Always remember no matter what you can still always talk to Joe he will hear you and will look down from up above upon you. I still have the heart tattoo that he gave me when we were in highschool and his memory will always be with me. Losing a child and brother is never easy my brother passed away when he was 19 and I was 10 his funeral was my birthday and I still miss him very much but I know he still is with me and Joe will be with you guys as well. He is in a better place and is at peace...Try and stay strong Joe would want everyone to.
