I don't know how I missed this 2 years ago. I started every morning for well over a decade swimming in the lane right next to Jurgen at the Mystic Community Center. He made me laugh almost daily. He shared many stories of his youth and life. He led a very interesting life.

Wow! I just received word of Jurgen´s passing. My sincere condolences. I first met Jurgen when I joined the Thames valley flying club back in 1976, when the club had a Cessna 172, N4253Q. Did a lot of flying and work under the hood with jurgen...between pulling out the junkie radios and flying them up to whomever could fix the things, to flying the plane to LI for an engine overhaul. He was so well mannered and a very logical thinker. Always enjoyed his company.
Jean...I´m in FB and I think we both are still connected! Write when u can.

Jean, I am so sorry to read about Jurgen’s passing. So many memories came pouring back - including all our swim adventures together. I have often thought of you both - grateful for the friendship. I’m living in Niantic now, retired, and still swimming.
It would be wonderful to hear from you sometime.
Sending prayers and a hug,
Christie (Slimak) Hayes (Am back to my maiden name. )

I also worked with Jurgen for W.J. Barney from1958 to 1960, where we were both assistant superintendents together on the construction of the first Pfizer Research Building. A long time ago but with many good memories and I am
sorry to read of the passing of an old friend.

Sorry to hear of your loss, I worked at Pfizer for WJ Barney with Juergen for years. I learned and received a lot of good information of the business from Juergen. Big loss.
