"Who does this guy think he is, the town attorney for Lyme or something?"
- Anonymous Quote
Attracted by his handsome appearance and further drawn by his 'everyman' affect, one could not help but for the moment to revel in the teir now suddenly achieved in his presence, only next in the next moment be humbled by an encyclopedic knowledge of the law, world and U.S. history, both classic and modern-day movies, baseball, and what deli at current was serving up the best grinders around. It was a talent entirely unlearned, unintended, not at all for gain, and it is rare. The 'dumbtalk' notwithstanding. The pleasure was mine always.
God speed, my friend.

Ken McKeever helped us a great deal with our real estate purchase and he was always full of good advice. If he couldn't help, he knew of someone that could. We send our condolences to his family. He was a darn good egg.

The Bayreuther family will forever be grateful for the years of wonderful, sincere, comprehensive, and thoughtful service. Ken always made time for us, always made sure we had the best representation, and always followed up.
I remember a boat trip on one of the Morgan 38´s we had for sale. Ken and the president of Hartford National Bank was along for the ride up to the Newport Boat show. It turned out to be a wet, windy, cold day. No sailing, just powering through waves from the time we cleared the Niantic bridge past the Rhode Island beaches and finally into Newport Harbor. I think that cured Ken of dreams sailing anywhere! He was a good sport and thanked us for the ride, but got off the boat quickly and headed home soaking wet.
My father, Chris, was proud of his family working alongside him at the marina. I am sure Ken was proud to have Brendan alongside him as well. Ken did a great job training him. Our prayers are with the family as they grieve the loss of Ken´s presence. Sincerely, Lloyd Bayreuther and Family

Knew Ken when he was a resident State Trooper for the town, way back when he was young. My Dad was a huge friend, and admired Ken. Wishing the family my sympathy, remember the good times. The Marine Corps Hyman says the streets of Heaven are guarded by US Marines, guess he will be on permeant guard duty, but the crime rate in Heaven should be pretty low, so not more worrying about that duty. Sorry for your loss.

Ken was one of the nicest men I have ever met. We met years ago when I worked for Atty. Bill Wellette in Essex at Copp, Koletsky, Berall and then again when I worked at Waller, Smith & Palmer. When my mom passed away in 2000, I got a lovely card from him, which warmed my heart. I'm sure he will be missed by many people. My sincere condolences to his fammily.

First thought of Ken is always that great smile. He smiled from the heart. I have always carried the memories of him living with us in Glastonbury when he started his career as a Connecticut State Trooper. We actually shared a room.
I have always and will continue to have a special place in my heart for him.
I hope that you all find some peace and comfort in his memory during this time of tremendous loss.
