Marc P. LaCroix

Groton - Marc P. LaCroix, 61, of Groton passed away surrounded by the love of his family Nov. 20, 2025. Marc was a devoted husband to his wife, Valerie LaCroix, a loving father, an extraordinary papa, and one of the truest friends anyone could ask for.

He was predeceased by his parents, Laurent and Monique LaCroix.

Marc had a larger-than-life personality - bold, funny, warm, and unforgettable. He was the kind of man who showed up for people. Whether you needed help, advice, a laugh, or someone to lean on, Marc was there without hesitation. He made friends everywhere he went, and he treasured those connections deeply. To know Marc was to feel seen, supported, and cared for.

Marc was a proud member of AA for 33 years, a journey that shaped him and inspired so many around him. He loved bowling and the friendships it brought, and he found joy as a member of Southern New England Relic Hunters (metal detecting). These passions were a meaningful part of who he was and the connections he built.

Marc is survived by his children, Andrew Lagace and his wife Jamie Lagace, Adam Lagace, Shawn Lagace and his wife Catherine Lagace, Matthew LaCroix and his wife Stephanie LaCroix and his daughter, Natalie Callahan.

He was the cherished papa of his grandchildren, Jordan Lagace, Jacob Lagace, Cameryn Lagace, Colton Lagace, Weston Lagace, and Solara LaCroix - who brought him endless joy.

Marc leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.

Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 5, at Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home in New London.

A Celebration of Life will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. Dec. 7, at the Submarine Veterans Club in Groton.

A benefit dinner in Marc's honor will be held at 3 p.m. Dec. 13, at Ocean Pizza in New London.
