Havens
Poughkeepsie - Mark (Sparky) Havens, 55 of Hyde Park, NY passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Vassar Brothers Hospital. Mark was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on September 1, 1958 to the late Lawrence and Mary Sheedy Havens. Mark was raised in Pleasant Valley and attended Arlington Schools. He was employed by Palumbo Block in Dover Plains, NY and was a member of Teamsters Local 456.
Mark is survived by his two wonderful daughters, Jennifer Havens, Poughkeepsie and Shelby Havens, Wappinger Falls, his pal and grandson Owen Clark, his friend and former wife Heidi Peterson Havens. He is also survived by his brothers Larry Havens, Amenia, NY, Tim Havens, Canojorhorie, NY, Charles Havens, Tuscan, AZ, and his sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Galbraith and husband Bill, Poughkeepsie, NY and Margaret Hart and Husband Chris, Pleasant Valley, NY. Mark is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Make a wish of Hudson Valley, 832 South Broadway Terrytown, NY 10591, or the American Lung Association.
Calling hours will take place Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home from 1 to 4pm. Burial will take place at St. Peters Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Tim & Margaret(Chris), I was shocked and saddened when I heard the news about your brother Mark. I had not seen him in a whie but have many great memories of days past. My condolences to you and the entire Havens family. I am so sorry I was unable to attend the services. Hopefully the memories of Sparky will comfort you in the days to come. I am so shocked and devastated. Mark and I have been buds since grade school and we shared the same birthday which we celebrated many together. He was my forever friend and I will miss his laugh and friendship. I am so very sorry to all his family for your loss. He was a very special man that I loved very much.
