Martin Daly Obituary

Stonington - Martin V. Daly, 67, passed away Monday, July 13, 2009, at his home in Stonington, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

He also was instrumental in establishing the Norwich Slow-Pitch Softball League.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Angela (Schena); his son, Martin Paul and his wife, Judith, their two children, Conor and Ciara, from South Orange, N.J. and his daughter, Mackenzie Daly and her husband, Taylor Heal of Mystic. He is also survived by his brother, John Daly of Long Boat Key, Fla. and Stonington. His family and numerous friends, who loved him dearly, will miss his good nature and laughing Irish eyes.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 17, at St. Mary's Church in Jewett City.
