He was born on June 9, 1915, in Griswold, the son of the late Joseph and Alida (LaMothe) St. John.
On June 26, 1937, he married Anna Millovitsch. She predeceased him on June 14, 2006.
Medos retired from Triangle Wire and Cable many years ago, but was a farmer all of his life.
He is survived by his three children, Marie Pardo and her husband, Richard, of Preston, Larry St. John and his wife, Laurel, of Griswold, and Donald St. John and his wife, Eve, of Griswold; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Eva Stringer and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four sisters, Merilda Denis, Alida St. John, Fabiola Riley, and Dorothy St. John, and a brother, Napoleon St. John, all of Griswold.
He leaves his devoted caregivers, Evelyn Carrero, Phyllis Frazier, and Stephanie Dewsnap, who made his final days comfortable.
There will be a calling hour at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 29, at Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home, 490 Voluntown Road. Interment will follow in Pachaug Cemetery, Griswold.
