Michael Doucette Obituary
Michael was the Burrillville High School senior class president of the Class of 1973. Michael graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, and then received his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Rhode Island. He worked for Dominion Co. in the Millstone Power Plant.
He was also the inspector at the former Mystic Power Plant and worked for several other companies prior to his retirement. He was a sailing enthusiast and loved his time sailing his beautiful sailboat. Mike hosted many great times over the years with his friends on his boats. He also loved golfing.
He is survived by his sister Patricia Vanasse and her husband Albert Jr.; his nephew Steven Vanasse; and his niece Jennifer Wood. He also leaves behind several cousins.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Hwy., Oakland, R.I. Funeral Services and burial were respectfully held privately. www.brownfuneralhomes.com.

I am so sorry to hear about Mike's passing. He shared snippets of his life during social gatherings with friends at local Mystic establishments. He loved his parents, his life in Burriville. He enjoyed white wine and dancing. His days in youth at Wrights Chicken farm were grand. He worried about the people he loved and was very caring and considerate to them, both family and friends. He was very smart. For those who believe, his swift departure for him a blessing, for those left with the burden of dis-belief. It is tough to grapple with the idea that this could happen to any one of us. So part of Mike's legacy to me is to.live each day best you can. Rest in Peace Mike.

I was lucky enough to share a house with Michael while we were in college. He would lend me his motorcycle from time to time. Great room mate, friend and just a great person. Rest in peace Micheal.
