Michele Strother Obituary

Groton - Michele "Shelly" Strother, 64, of Groton passed away April 11, 2022, at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.

She was born Jan. 16, 1958, in East Meadow, N.Y., the daughter of Vito and Rosemary (Clarke) Parisi.

Michele worked as a deli clerk at various stores including Walmart where she had worked prior to her illness.

She was married to Jeffrey Strother of Groton. He survives her.

Besides her husband Jeffrey Strother, she is survived by her daughters, Michele Laboy and Shannon Strother; her son Adrian Laboy; eight grandchildren, Miguel, Kayla, Lily, Noah, Noelle, Michele, Nigel, and Jace; her brother Michael Parisi; and her sisters, Jane Paixao, Patricia Reyes, and Vicky Brady.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Geriann Woods and Rosemarie Baussmann. Special thanks of care to her niece Sharelle Wade.

Memorial calling hours will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington Street, New London. Burial will be private. Please visit www.byles.com for directions or to sign the guestbook.
