Nancy Palmieri Obituary

Waterford - Nancy Ann (Bliven) Palmieri, 64, of Waterford, died July, 9, 2022, at her home, after a long battle with multiple system atrophy (MSA). She was born in New London, June 7, 1958, the daughter of Leroy and Virginia Perry Bliven. She is the wife of Michael Palmieri of Waterford.

I consider having Nancy as a mother a great privilege. She was kind and generous and always wanted to have a good time. She enjoyed spending time traveling, going to picnics and parties with family and friends; her pets through the years; and her very special camping trips with her beloved horse Beau.

Nancy lived for her family and friends. There will never be enough words to write how important all of you were to her. Watching your families grow and change through the years are memories she held very dear. I hope you will always think of her fondly; enjoy great laughs, tears and love with memories you share about her. She will always be with you. Nancy was retired from the State of Connecticut Department of Corrections. Thank you all for being part of her life. Your families were part of her joy; and she loved you all very much.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Michael and Michelle; and brothers: Leroy "Bob" Bliven, Thomas Bliven, David Bliven and Fred Bliven. She was predeceased by a brother, Peter Bliven.

Service details are being finalized and will be announced in the near future. All are welcome and encouraged to attend to share memories and be together. Condolences may be shared on Nancy's memorial page at www.neilanfuneralhome.com.

My cousin Nancy is gone but never to be forgotten. I carry her in my heart next to her Aunt Jean and Uncle Teach, my parents who loved her so much too. She was eccentric and a beautiful woman inside and out, and loved life. I will remember her Janis Joplin singing voice around campfires, her wild crazy self with that big head of gorgeous blond bouncy hair and blue eyes that sparkled. I'm so deeply sad for your loss Mike and Michele and Micheal and the rest of the family - much love to you all. Thank you for the obituary written from the heart, Nancy would be proud. Shine on you crazy diamond - Nancy - you will be so missed - RIP.

My deepest condolences to Nancy´s family. My memories and friendship with Nancy go back to around second grade. We enjoyed walking around `the avenues´ in any weather, including in the rain; especially in thunderstorms. She was always fun and she was a bright spot in my life, with her quick wit, beautiful smile, and great laugh. While I hadn´t seen her in several years, it was always good to see her, when we did run into each other. She will be missed, but her wonderful memory will live on.
