I met Nick when he took over The Parking Lot and we became instant Friends. He always smiled and looked on the Bright side of every Situation. He loved Talking about Family, Boating and his Trips to Sint Martin. He was one of a Kind and a gentle Man. My Thoughts and Prayers are with the Family during this difficult time. May your Faith in God ease the suffering, and know he is in a better Place. RIP my dear Friend

My childhood memory of 'Footsie' coming to our house and playing cards with my brothers and parents. He was always full of smiles and warmth. As an adult, he sold me our 2 2006 Volvo's, which are still going strong. He was a good friend to many. My condolences to you all.

Nick always represented a bright moment of my day during our encounters at the Jones Lot/ Electric Boat parking.
He knew everyone's name & always took the time to say "good morning", "have a great day" or for a short discussion on sports or family.
I've only known Nick for the past 1-1/2 years but I am missing him greatly already.

Please accept my prayers & deepest sympathy for your loss.

To the Ganacoplos family and Chris-

I wanted to send prayers and condolences. Even though I never met Nick, I learned alot about him from his son, Chris.

The apple does not fall far from the tree. If Chris is anything like his Dad....then Nick was Priceless! Having been thru the same challenges of loss of a parent/s, being able to celebrate a life that was important to so many is rewarding. Every day is a gift...build a long bucket list and make your mark in life like Nick.

Chris mentioned to me there will be approx 500 people in attendance celebrating Nick's life. Amazing.
Rewarding. Humbling.

Godspeed, prayers and I will be there in spirit as will be Nick.

Dear Pat and family. Joanne and I are so sorry to hear of Nicks passing. Nick was a good friend for over 50 years. Some of my most memorable times were spent with Nick. It could be at the beach, on the boat, out on Fishers Island, playing cards, nightclubbing, or getting something to eat. Many a time Nick was the center of the fun. I consider myself fortunate to have known Nick and have him as a friend. Lee and Joanne Wildes
