Olivia Roark Obituary
She was born in Norwich, on Nov. 20, 1998, to Robert and Sherry (Hopkins) Roark. Olivia was a junior at Griswold Alternative High School. She enjoyed being a part of the church youth groups, going on mission trips and recently working with the elderly in town. She shared many special times vacationing with her family.
Besides her loving parents, Olivia is survived by a brother, Robert Roark of Griswold; her maternal grandparents, Dwight and Betsy Hopkins of Preston; great-grandparents, Clara Hopkins and Louise Baran; and aunts and uncles, Lisa Stearnes and her husband, Jeff, Michelle Hopkins and Benjamin Gray, David Hopkins and his wife, Carrie, Kim Boiselle and her husband, Jeff, and Glen Roark and his wife, Laura. She also leaves behind many cousins and friends.
She is predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Robert and Joyce Roark.
A celebration of Olivia's life will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, at Preston City Congregational Church, 321 CT-164, Preston.

Olivia was a free spirit and someone who embraced life and the experiences it presented to her. I enjoyed her spirit and the challenges she presented to all conventional thinking. It was always exciting to see what class would be like when she walked through the door. I am extremely saddened to think such a bright spirit would be extinguished so soon. Hi my name is Anna, I was known as the cook at Fishers Island Christian youth camp.
I am so sorry for your loss of Olivia. She was always a kind loving person, no matter how busy she was playing games, doing crafts or at meal times during camp, she would stop and say " hello " or ask how I was doing and ask if we needed help. At beach times she would go and sit next to some of the leaders or campers that were sitting alone and briefly share in conversation . Olivia had a way of making you feel special and her unforgettable,kind heart and inviting smile will always be remembered. She will hold a special place in my heart forever!
