Patricia McSorley Obituary
Patti graduated from Hall High School in West Hartford in 1969, and attended Cazenovia College and Central Connecticut State College. Patti was the first female general manager at the 178-store, grocery chain, First National Stores. She was promoted to customer service manager for the chain in 1975, reporting directly to the president. Moving to Connecticut in 1987, she directed the international customer service department and retail operation for Mystic Color Lab, until they closed. Patti started her real estate career at Coldwell Banker, earning many honors for excellence, until her passing.
Patti was an active member of the Mystic Chamber of Commerce and a founding member of the Mariner Art Guild. Patti was past president of the Mystic Lions Club and received numerous accolades, including the prestigious Knights of the Blind award, the highest honor available to a lion.
Due to the coronavirus, COVID-19, there will be no Celebration of Life at this time.

Patti opened her home to me when I was in my twenty's and needed a place to stay. Both her and Jay treated me like family. I still remember I had brought a fish with me and I think it was the first pet she had allowed in her home. Before to long she was feeding it and taking care of it. I'm not sure who she was gonna miss the most when I moved me or the fish.
Patti was a fabulous lady and a great friend. My heart goes out to you Jay. I am truly very sorry for your loss.

Jay, I was so shocked and sad when I read of Patti's passing. She was one of the first people I met when our family moved to West Hartford - we lived on the same street. My condolences to you and your family.

Jay and family. Our sincere condolences on Pattis's passing but take comfort she is now at peace. It was a pleasure to know you both in the Mystic Lions. I well remember her cheerful smile and positive approach to life. She was always upbeat and optimistic. Always willing to help others and to be a true friend. Rest in peace
