Paul Ferrigno Obituary

Little Silver, N.J. - Paul Bernard Ferrigno, 40, of Little Silver, N.J., died March 10, 2008, in London, England.

Paul was born Feb. 20, 1968, in Teaneck, N.J., to Joseph W. Ferrigno III of Hong Kong and Stonington, and Jennifer Slavin Ferrigno of Niantic.

Paul leaves his loving wife, Kathleen Mancini Ferrigno and two beautiful sons, Paul Sabin Ferrigno and Alexander Quinn Ferrigno.

Paul was managing director and head of sales for Cohen & Company Investment Bank in New York City. He graduated from Blair Academy and Muhlenberg College, and received an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University. Paul was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.

Paul had an undeniable gift for sales because people loved him so much. His prominence in the business community came as a result of his keen intelligence, strong work ethic, and innate understanding of people. Although his achievements were great in the world of finance, Paul will be remembered most for his incredible warmth, infectious sense of humor and laughter, and his love of his family and friends. His personality was like a magnet for all types of people and everyone enjoyed being around him. Paul did not need to put on airs; he was a naturally genuine person with a generous heart and everyone loved him. He enjoyed golfing, sailing, and hiking, but mostly being around his wonderful wife and his precious children.

In addition to his wife and children and his parents, Paul also leaves his brother, Joseph E. Ferrigno and his wife, Donna Ferrigno, of Nantucket, Mass.; his sister, Christina Ferrigno Helm and her husband, Steven Helm, of Middletown, N.J., and his sisters, Elizabeth Sheridan Ferrigno and Victoria Clare Ferrigno, and his stepmother, Clare Sheridan Ferrigno, all of Stonington, and Hong Kong. He also had numerous uncles and aunts, cousins, a nephew and niece, as well as countless friends around the world who will miss him terribly.

The family will receive family and friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St., Red Bank, N.J. There will be a funeral service at 11 a.m. on March 17, at St. George's-by-the-River, 7 Lincoln Ave., Rumson, N.J.

The Paul Ferrigno Family Trust has been established for his wife and children. Contributions may be sent to the Trust at 344 Prospect Ave., Little Silver NJ 07739. Donations may also be made in Paul's name to St. George's-by-the-River Episcopal Church.

We are deeply saddened to learn of Paul's death and of the extended Ferrigno family's terrible loss. Although it has been perhaps twenty years since we last saw Paul, he remained a bright light in our memories because there was something so very special about him, even at his then tender age. Surely, his loss is the more shocking because he left this world well before his time, and we are left to wonder how much more light he might have graced to all who met him. Our deepest condolences to his wife, children, and entire family.
