Dear Suzie, Bill, Will, Will's family, Sarah, Kate, Martha... all of you! I burst into tears when my brother forwarded Peter's obituary to me. Even though I haven't seen Peter in years, I loved him when he was a child! We had so much fun together. He was such a sweet, sensitive, caring, adorable, happy little boy. I enjoyed caring for "Willy and Petey" for all those years and have so many fun memories: summers at the yacht club, 'Wendy's Ideas' desserts, pretending the swing set was our space ship and getting off to explore other planets, frying up burgers for them, watching the kids during your parties, going to Mt. Snow, biking all over the island, playing with Tim, Jonathan, David and Katie... I am devastated to hear about his death; my heart aches with sympathy for all of you. Suzie and Bill especially - I can't even imagine the depth of your grief at the death of a son. It's every parent's worst nightmare at any age. I know how devoted you have been all your lives to both your sons and all your family. I am so, so sorry. I wish I had gotten to talk to him as adults. I would have loved that.

I did not have the pleasure of knowing Peter yet have heard alot of great things about him!
Life/death to soon..as a mother we remember the birth it is engrained in our hearts and minds...but death of a child is unbearable. I just want you to know that your not alone and prayers for you and your family for peace are being brought up. Remember to love always throught the pain..it is all we have.

I can't tell you how saddened I was to learn of Peter's death yesterday. Many great memories from his days on our LAX team when he was around 12-14. He personified the team player who leads by example. I'm grateful that we ran into each other at a social event a couple years ago and were able to catch up a bit. Thank you for establishing the fund in his name at the Y.

Bill, Suzie and William - I am so saddened and sorry for your loss. Peter was always a good friend and brought so much joy to my life as well as the world. He was very thoughtful, generous, and had a wonderful sense of humor. I will always remember Pete as someone I could go to for advice on difficult decisions and for an honest, valuable perspective. We had a lot of great memories during his time in Boston, which were always fun to reminisce on. Pete will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

I am so incredibly blessed to have been Petes friend for many years. He was always the light in the room. I will never forget his love for music, the ocean, his orange beanie, his friends and most importantly, his family. His smile was always contagious and his laughter filled our hearts. Peter was my friend at Trinity College - it kills me to hear this news, he had the best heart and I truly valued my friendship with him.
